LOVING THE EARTH WITH GRATITUDE
Join the Sisterhood of the Planetary Water Rites in Blessing the Waters of the Earth
I feel most at home living by, and playing in, the element of water. The sea especially nourishes me. Since moving from the coast to the northern New Mexico desert, my gratitude for water has grown more precious. As I walk the parched southwest lands, my spirit taps into the lifeblood of water ways deep below the surface that I cannot see. Prayerfully, I commune far and wide as a voice for life-sustaining waters.
When I pour a glass of water to drink, I am reminded of ancient ones and ancient ways, and those living in third world countries still trekking long distances for water. I am one who is privileged to drink, bathe, and enjoy the gift of water with such ease and availability.
There is no guarantee that this will always be, and my heart burns with concern for the younger generations. What condition of resources shall they inherit? Now must be the time to give back, to bless the waters, love the earth, listen to spirit, and act wisely for the greater good of tomorrow.
